LEWISTON – Christine Powell of Crescent City, Calif., and Jesse Powell of Fortuna, Calif., are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Ashton Echo Powell of Forks, Wash., to Petty Officer First Class Kristoffer Pate Mattingly, USCG, Forks, Wash.
Miss Powell graduated from Del Norte High School in Crescent City, Calif. and is employed as a barista at Shot in the Dark at Forks, Wash. She is the granddaughter of Ray and Roberta Colby of Crescent City, Calif.
Petty Officer Mattingly is the son of the late Cheryl Mattingly of Lewiston and Joseph and Anita Mattingly of Litchfield. He graduated from Lewiston High School in 2000 and joined the Coast Guard in 2002. He is currently stationed at the USCG Station, Quillayute River, La Push, Wash. He is the grandson of Beverly and the late Richard Peterson of Auburn and the late Joseph and Martha Mattingly of Louisville, Ky.
The wedding will be held Sept. 12 in Crescent City, Calif.
