Dear Sun Spots: In answer to the query about primitive rug hooking, readers should be made aware of the resources at the Oxford Mill End Store. They stock kits hand assembled by Janet Conner of Hiram. Janet also teaches classes at the store. In one four-hour class students learn what they need to know to complete a project. The classes are so informative that some of us retake it periodically.

The store has a huge selection of colorful wools. Although there aren’t many plaids, they do carry tweeds and herringbones. – Harriet Robinson, Otisfield.
