Lakeside OES
WALES – Lakeside Chapter 60, Order of the Eastern Star, will meet at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday, March 10, at the Grange/Masonic Hall, 322 Centre Rd. for a potluck supper.
The meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m. and will include officer elections. All members are welcome.
Club Richelieu
LEWISTON – The local Club Richelieu chapter will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 11, at Dudley’s Restaurant, Ramada Inn. President Daniel Isabel invites all members to attend.
Obesity program
TOPSHAM – “Obesity and Bariatric Surgery” is the topic of the Wednesday, March 11, installment of a mini-medical school series offered by Central Maine Medical Center and the Central Maine Heart and Vascular Institute.
Dr. Jamie Loggins, medical director at Central Maine Bariatric Surgery in Lewiston, will be the featured speaker. The program will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Topsham Family Medicine, 4 Horton Place.

Pine Cone OES
AUBURN – The annual meeting of Pine Cone Chapter 26, Order of the Eastern Star, will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 12, at the Masonic Hall, 1021 Turner St. A potluck supper will be held preceding the meeting at 6:15. Members are encourage to attend.
Grange speaker
AUBURN – Danville Junction Grange will meet for a 6 p.m. supper Thursday, March 12, at the hall. The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. The program will be conducted by guest officers and will feature Renee Fortin, who will speak on the Lewiston Root Cellar. All members and guests are welcome.
Council to install
LEWISTON – Twin City Council 160, United Commercial Travelers of America, will hold a business meeting at 5 p.m. Saturday, March 14, at Marco’s Restaurant. Installation of officers will be held, with Robert Hutchinson of Auburn as senior counselor. Members and guests are welcome. Reservations must be made in advance by calling Hutchinson at 783-0451.
DAR to meet
LISBON FALLS – Regent Sheila Desgrosseilliers has announced that the Burnt Meadow Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, will meet at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, March 14, at the home of Jayne Bickford. Following the business meeting, a program on Revolutionary War trivia will be presented. Violet Gerber will provide the refreshments.
Magic show
LEWISTON – Calvary United Methodist Church will have an afternoon of magic at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 15, at 59 Sabattus St.
The free magic show is for all children and their families. It will kick off a series of monthly appearances by The Great Stephan at Faith Village.
