AUGUSTA – The Maine Academy of Country Music will put on a benefit concert from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, March 22, at American Legion Post 205 on Route 17.

It is a benefit for longtime country music entertainer Bob LaChance, who is suffering from a serious illness and has incurred expenses not covered by insurances.

Admission is a donation at the door.

Among those scheduled to appear are Bob Elston, Chris Fyfe, Dan Corbett, Mark Parlin, Otto Proctor Jr., Fred Couverette, The Higgins Family, Mary Bergy, Burt Hopler, Tom Berube, Kevin Carter, and the Rev. Jim Suitter.

Also appearing will be special guests and members of the Over The Hill Gang.
