On February 6, 2009, Monmouth Middle School had a Valentine’s Day Dance. The dance provided refreshments, music and a whole lot of dancing. The fun night started at 6:30 p.m. and unfortunately ended at 8:30 p.m. Some of the songs that were heard were, “Thriller,” “Cotton Eye Joe,” “Macarena,” and the “Cha-Cha Slide” to name a few. There were not as many people at the dance as there usually are due to the Boys’ A Team away at a tournament. Even with them being away, the dance managed to be a success and people seemed to have a lot of fun.
