People should be very grateful to the George Bush-Rush Limbaugh-Sarah Palin Republican Party for preserving freedom and opposing big government socialism.

As they have explained it to us, taxing rich Americans and spending the revenue on infrastructure projects in America that benefit everyone is big government socialism. Borrowing trillions of dollars from China and handing it over to defense contractors in no-bid contracts to squander in Iraq is freedom.

Requiring approval of a legally-established court to wiretap domestic phone conversations is big government socialism. Warrantless wiretapping of Americans is freedom.

Enforcing Constitutional rights to protect Americans from illegal searches and seizures is big government socialism. Arresting and imprisoning American citizens indefinitely without any charges being brought and torturing them – now that’s freedom.

Thanks, Republican Party, for saving our American values from those liberal socialists who would destroy our liberty.
