TOPSHAM – Children in treatment for cancer as well as those who are up to 10 years post-treatment are invited to attend the American Cancer Society’s Camp Rainbow during the week of June 28 to July 4.
Camp Rainbow has been in operation since 1987 and is a special place where kids with cancer can smile, laugh and play. It combines traditional activities with a medical staff prepared to meet the special needs of campers who are being treated for cancer. Counselors lead activities tailored to different age groups and medical professionals are available 24 hours a day.
The camp operates at Camp Jordan in Ellsworth. Participants are able to attend Camp Rainbow free.
