This is in response to the March 4 Sun Journal article “Home health bill receives mixed reviews.” State Sen. Margaret Craven submitted LD 400, a bill aimed at increasing funding for home-based and community-based health care.
For my family, the cost of home-based care is far less than that of a nursing facility. We have used the services offered by SeniorsPlus, too.
LD 400 is critically important to elderly and disabled citizens who want to remain in their homes, and it would save a tremendous amount of money for the state of Maine.
