ALASKA – The parents of Ashley Marie Dalessandro of Avon are pleased to announce the wedding of their daughter to Shawn R. Cope of San Diego, Calif.

The bride is a graduate of Mt. Abram High school in Salem and continued her education in nursing at the University of Southern Maine. She enlisted in the United States Air Force on Nov. 2, 2006 as a medical technician and is currently attending the University of Alaska towards her physician assistant degree.

Vows were exchanged in an outdoor Alaskan setting on Feb. 14. Shawn is also serving in the U.S. Air Force as a firefighter/EMT.

The couple is currently stationed at Elmendorf AFB in Anchorage, Alaska where they will reside after vacationing at Alyeska Resort.
