AUBURN – The wedding of Cheryl Ann Goding and Duane George Harrington was held at 4 p.m. on Aug. 9 at the Court Street Baptist Church in Auburn. Pastor Daniel Johnston officiated at the ceremony.
Mrs. Harrington is the daughter of Paul and Sharon Goding of Auburn. Mr. Harrington is the son of Duane and Katherine Harrington of Monmouth.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white strapless gown in A-line style with chapel length train. The gown featured blue trim along the top of the bodice and along the hemline. It was embroidered with sequins and pearls in the front and back and had blue lace up in the back. She carried a bouquet of white roses and yellow, red and hot pink Gerbera daisies, hand-tied with ribbon.
Nicole Harrington, friend and sister of the bridegroom, was maid of honor, and Michelle Mason, friend of the bride, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Denise Purington, sister of the bride, and Moesha Harrington, daughter of the bridegroom. Mikayla and Breeanna Cameron, nieces of the bridegroom, were flower girls.
Duane E. Harrington was best man for his son. Ushers were Scott Mason, friend of the bridegroom, David Goding, brother of the bride, and Max Robitaille, nephew of the bridegroom, Parker Robitaille, nephew of the bridegroom, was ring bearer.
A reception followed at the Elks Lodge in Lewiston, after which the couple traveled to Virginia Beach, Va., and Pigeon Forge, Tenn. They are residing in Leeds.
The bride is a 1999 graduate of Edward Little High School in Auburn and a 2004 graduate of the University of New England with a master’s degree in physical therapy. She is a physical therapist at Select Physical Therapy in Auburn.
The bridegroom is a 1996 graduate of Grafton High School in Grafton, Mass., and served eight years in the U.S. Navy. He is employed in inventory at VIP in Lewiston.
