PORTLAND – Kate Kim Kelcourse and Benjamin Edward Belanger were united in marriage on Dec. 20 at St. Joseph’s Church in Portland. Their reception followed at the Marriott at Sable Oaks in South Portland.
Mrs. Belanger is the daughter of Michael and Kim Kelcourse of Rumford and granddaughter of Benny and Cecilia Arsenault of Rumford and Timothy and Joanne Kelcourse of Mexico. Mr. Belanger is the son of Susan Belanger of Rumford and grandson of the late Robert and Theresa Belanger of Rumford.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a floor-length, strapless ivory gown with intricate hand sewn beading around the bodice. She carried a hand-tied bouquet of talea roses, white stephanotis and bouquet jewels, wrapped with swarovski crystal rosary beads.
Amy Lamboy, friend of the bride, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Elizabeth Belanger, Melanie Waterman, Bethany Nash, Brenna Byard and Jessica Arsenault.
Matthew Carrier, friend of the bridegroom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Michael Kelcourse Jr., JT Taylor, Matthew Kellogg, Michael Grenier and Adam Waleik. Cousins of the bride, Peter Bolduc III, Brendan Chrisom Jr. and Colin Chrisom were ring bearers.
The bride is a graduate of Mountain Valley High School and the University of Rhode Island. She is currently employed as a clinical pharmacist at the Department of Veteran Affairs in Saco.
The bridegroom is a graduate of Mountain Valley High School and St. Joseph College. He is currently employed as a lead analyst in the Energy and Derivatives Department at Utility Shared Services in New Gloucester.
The couple honeymooned in St. Lucia. They currently reside in South Portland.
