FARMINGTON – Randall George Rose, 91, a former resident of Richmond Mills Road, Fayette, died Friday, March 13, at Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington, where he had been a patient for one day. Randall had been living at Edgewood Rehabilitation and Living Center in Farmington for the past four years.
He was born in Fayette on Sept. 22, 1917, the son of Edward and Sadie (Walton) Rose. He attended school in Fayette.
On Oct. 4, 1952, he married his wife of 42 years, Theresa Cecile Plante. She passed away Jan. 29, 1994.
Randall worked at Bath Iron Works during World War II building Liberty Ships, the Otis Mill and International Paper in Jay, Forest Tucker Forestry Products in Rhode Island, and in the logging industry, which he loved.
He enjoyed visiting people and telling stories.
He is survived by his son, Reginald L. Rose his wife, Tammy, of Fayette; a daughter, Cheryl Rose and her fiancé, Bruce Hartford, of Wilton; two grandchildren, Tina Rose of Greene, and Jason Rose of Lincoln; and one great-grandson, Kaleb.
He was predeceased by two brothers, Reginald and Frank Rose; and two sisters, Arlene Martin and Evelyn Rose.
