BANGOR (AP) – A 32-year-old man is in custody following the stabbing of a woman in a coffee shop in downtown Bangor.
Police say a man entered Java Joe’s on Central Street shortly after 11 a.m. Monday, walked up to the woman and cut her in the neck with a knife. The man then fled the shop but was followed by a witness until he was apprehended by police.
The suspect, identified as Jason Dean of Bangor, has been charged with aggravated assault.
The woman sought hospital treatment. Police say her wound was not life-threatening.
