Maine is one of the poorest of the 50 states, and has one of the worst economies. Why are state officials allowing more and more refugees into this state? Is it because welfare and other public assistance here is easy to obtain? It must be.

I read an article within the last year that stated thousands of refugees have entered the country since 2007. Sure, there are better schools here. But with so many people in this country struggling as it is with taxes, how can more teachers and tutors be hired? I don’t think the public can afford more expenses.

I think the public should be thinking of people in the country first and stop worrying about others. Things would be a lot more plentiful.
