JAY – A Mass of Christian Burial for Yvonne Claire Brochu Dunham was celebrated on Tuesday at St. Rose of Lima in Jay concelebrated by the Revs. Tom Lequin, Joseph McKenna, Richard Ouellette and Frank Murray. Francis Brochu Jr., Arthur Melendy, Dick Hargreaves, Chris Brochu, Jim Brochu, Greg Maxwell and Mike Maxwell served as pallbearers. Yvonne’s siblings, Rene Brochu, Roger Brochu, Raymond Brochu, Rita Melendy and a niece, Debra Zboray placed the pall on the casket. The first reading was offered by George Maxwell and the second reading by Donna Wuori. The gifts were brought forward by Rene Brochu and his wife, Beverly. Special music for Mass selected by Yvonne’s family was, “Harmony of the Angels,” “On Eagle’s Wings,” “Be Not Afraid,” “As the Deer Longs,” “Prayer of St. Francis” and “Ave Maria.” Yvonne’s brother, Roger sang solos of “J’Irai La Voir” and “Saints of God.” After Mass those in attendance were invited to a time of fellowship and refreshment at LaFleur’s in Jay.
