PORTLAND (AP) – Climate change will be high on the agenda when more than 900 geoscientists gather Sunday in Portland for a regional meeting of the Geological Society of America.
The meeting, which continues through Tuesday, features a keynote address Sunday by Paul Mayewski, director of the Climate Change Institute at the University of Maine. There will also be a symposium and several other sessions focusing on climate change.
A Sunday morning session will address aquifer sustainability in Maine through monitoring and regulation of groundwater.
