A crew from the Lewiston Water and Sewer Division lowers a shoring box into place before descending into a giant hole in the middle of Knox Street. The street has a patchwork of repairs that have plagued the water supply line, which is nearly 100 years old. Knox Street had to be closed Wednesday after it caved in from the most recent leak.
