Scouts help with local food drive
AUBURN – Sixth Street Congregational Church is sponsoring a community food drive to benefit the Hope Haven Gospel Mission in Lewiston. Members of Cub Scout Pack 567 are helping by distributing fliers and donating food.
Donations of non-perishable food items can be brought to the church at 109 Sixth St., from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 20, 21, 27 and 28. Pick up is available for those who cannot make it to the church.
Call Peg Theriault at 783-2759, Marilyn Thompson at 782-0806 or Ray Richards at 786-8722 to coordinate a pick up time.
Donations can also be brought to the church’s monthly baked bean supper from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Saturday, March 28, at the church. Cost for adults is $5; children age 6 to 12, $3; children 5 and under, free.
Cub Scout Pack 567 meets at the Sixth Street Congregational Church from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays during the school year. For more information, call Cub Master Andy Breau at 783-0653 or 576-8080.
