John Henderson spoke recently at Auburn Public Library about the immigration of the Irish to the Auburn-Lewiston area during the potato famine of 1847. Participants also worked on Gas House Patch dioramas. Henderson will expand the talk at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 24, at the Androscoggin Historical Society meeting on the third floor of the Androscoggin Courthouse in Auburn. All are welcome. Standing in back, from left, are Gerry Ricker and Henderson; front, Jack Carney, Bud Ricker and Trudy Ricker.
