SUMNER – Steve and Helen Haines of Caribou are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Crystal Haines of Portland, to Stephen Tripp of Portland, son of Chuck and Mona Tripp of Sumner.

Miss Haines is a 1999 graduate of Caribou High School and a 2004 graduate of the University of Maine at Orono. She is currently working at Oral Surgery Associates in South Portland.

Mr. Tripp is owner of Tripp Technologies.

The wedding will be held on the beach Aug. 7 at Negril, Jamaica.
