BETHEL – The wedding of Sara Lynn Welch and Christopher Shawn Klingener was held at 2 p.m. on Nov. 1 at the Bethel Inn in Bethel. The Rev. Linda Kimball officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Klingener is the daughter of William and Cynthia Welch of Mexico. Mr. Klingener is the son of Lucy and Robert McAllister Lloyd of Freeport and Thomas and Sarah Klingener of Chico, Calif.

The bride, given in marriage by her parents, wore a strapless gown of ivory satin in A-line style with side drape, lace-up back and beaded lace on the sweetheart neckline. She carried a bouquet of ivory Calla lilies and tea roses, purple hydrangea and sprigs of lavender.

Amy E. Welch-Whissen, sister of the bride, served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Daray Escolas and Jillian Ganley, friends of the bride.

James Vaughan performed the duties of best man for his brother. Ushers were Wesley Hansen and Brian Williams, friends of the bridegroom.

A reception followed at the Bethel Inn, after which the couple traveled to Arizona and California. They are residing in Carlisle, Mass.

The bride is a 1999 graduate of Stonehill College with a bachelor’s degree in international studies. She is branch manager at Hanscom Federal Credit Union in Devens, Mass.

The bridegroom is a 1999 graduate of Tufts University with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. He is a civil engineer at Weldron Engineering in Exeter, N.H.
