RUMFORD – The American Cancer Society will host its Relay For Life of River Valley on Friday, May 29, at Hosmer Field. Two activities open to the public are the cancer survivors’ lap and the luminaria ceremony.

Cancer survivor recognition will take place at 6 p.m. Cancer survivors from the River Valley area are invited to walk the first lap of the relay.

A luminaria ceremony will be held at 9:30 p.m. A special luminaria (candle lantern) ceremony will remember those lost to cancer and honor those who have survived.
