Students who got on the behavior honor roll or the academic honor roll got to go to the annual LMS skating party held Tuesday, February 10. LMS is proud to say that 438 students went from the school. At the first bell, students lined up and began the march to the Colisee. Blocking off the roads were the Lewiston police. When the students got there, some people spent a while in the line to rent skates. Others brought their own, so they began skating right away. Some students didn’t want to skate, so they waited in the stands and watched the other students skate.
Once everyone was on, the party really began. Students listened to music as they glided down the rink and hung with friends on other teams while teachers watched out for trouble. For some, it was their first time on skates. When it was time to go back for lunch, everyone got up, threw away their trash, returned the skates and got into their groups from homeroom. Walking back to school, everyone was talking about how much fun the party was. Students who didn’t get to go this year can try to get behavior or academic honor roll so they can go next year.
