Great news: The letter I wrote about recycling recyclables (Jan. 22) did pay off. Being in the Sun Journal helped a lot. I guess, like me, people read it every day, without fail.

A couple of days ago, I was at the solid waste facility on River Road in Lewiston and the large pallet full of blue recycling bins was half empty. I hope that means people will use them.

I also hope the rest of the bins get picked up, although it would be better if they were at the Lewiston Public Works department.
