AUBURN – Debora Whittle has been promoted to vice president/human resources manager at Mechanics Savings Bank. In this position, Whittle oversees the human resources department and is responsible for hiring, benefits, payroll, reporting and employee relations.

Since joining Mechanics Savings Bank in 1979, she has been a bookkeeper, head bookkeeper, HR assistant and HR benefits. Most recently, she served as assistant vice president/human relations manager. She has participated in human resource professional development seminars and conferences throughout her career in banking.

Whittle is active in the United Way’s Day of Caring. She lives in Auburn with her husband.
