AUBURN – Pike Industries continued its rally from the consolation bracket off the Auburn Parks and Recreation men’s slowdown basketball tournament with three wins this week, forcing a one-game playoff March 30 for the championship.
Pike plowed through ESM, Shooters and Lewiston Pawn by a combined victory margin of 12 points.
Dave Berry drained four 3-pointers and scored 28 points in a 65-60 triumph over ESM. Ryan Giroux also knocked down four treys and finished with 12 points.
Drew Leavitt’s seven trifectas and 25 points topped ESM. Chris Brackett hit three from beyond the arc and racked up 12 points.
Lance Poland logged 23 points in Pike’s 57-53 survival of Shooters. Berry contributed 17. Dave St. Germain sparked Shooters with 22 points, followed by Zeth Reilly with three 3-pointers and 11 points.
Pike avenged a 14-point loss earlier in the double-elimination playoffs with a 58-55 victory over Pawn. Berry (17 points) and Poland (15) led the way.
Justin Underwood paced Pawn with 17. Martin Cleveland and Matt Plummer each added 14.
