With the economy in its present state, everybody is pinching pennies. Times are as tough as I can remember. But even in these tough times, there are still people who are willing to look past their own problems to offer help in another’s time of need.
I would like to take this opportunity to recognize the Pelletier karate family for their sincere concern and generosity toward my family, and my daughter, Gabrielle, in particular.
Gabby is 12, and was recently diagnosed with Lyme disease and rheumatoid arthritis. She has been unable to participate in any activities.
Shihan Rich Pelletier took it upon himself to organize a kick-a-thon recently to raise money to help with medical costs. The turnout from the members was above and beyond what we ever would have thought. Even though everyone has problems of their own, they were willing to come together to help us in our situation.
We offer a humble and appreciative thank-you to all who participated in any way, or simply had Gabby in their thoughts. We will not forget all you have done.
Chris Reed, Buckfield
