NEW SHARON – Joseph and Kathleen Clancy of Clifton Park, N.Y., are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Mary Beth Clancy of Boston, to Samuel Miskin of Boston, son of Kathy Gossom of New Sharon and Mark Miskin.

Miss Clancy is a graduate of Cambridge School of Culinary Arts professional chef program and received a bachelor’s degree in communication from the University of Albany. She is employed at Harvard Business School as a pastry assistant.

Mr. Miskin is a graduate of Mt. Blue High School and received a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Bridgewater State College. He also received a master’s degree in mathematics education from Boston University and is a math teacher at Framingham High School.

A July 17 wedding is planned in Dedham, Mass.
