GIRDWOOD, Alaska (AP) – Lindsey Vonn captured the women’s slalom title at the 2009 U.S. Alpine Championships.

Vonn and Julia Mancuso were tied Sunday after the first run in times of 51.00 seconds. Vonn completed the second run in 52.17 seconds for a combined time of 1:43.17. Sarah Schleper finished second in 1:43.27 and Mancuso was third in 1:43.48.

Former Dartmouth College skier David Chodounsky won the men’s slalom in 1:40.60. Jimmy Cochran was second in 1:40.98 and Cody Marshall third in 1:41.51.
