AUBURN – Central Maine Community College will host its annual spring open house from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 4. Faculty, staff and students will be on hand to provide information on programs of study, financial aid, the admissions process and transfer options.
“We will offer campus tours and other opportunities to learn more about the many programs we offer,” said Admissions Director Betsy Libby. “Students can also choose to explore the campus on their own; meet with students, faculty and staff; and get admissions and financial aid information.”
Noted local wildlife artist David Footer will be present in the graphic arts department and will sign complementary prints of his newest painting titled, “First to Hatch.”
Dean of Planning and Public Affairs Roger Philippon said the open house is an excellent opportunity for students and their families to become better acquainted with the college.
“Every year people tell us how informative the open house is, and how surprised they are at everything we have to offer. Many students who thought college was out of reach have been able to realize that dream at CMCC.”
CMCC offers career and technical programs that prepare graduates for immediate employment and continued education. It also offers transfer programs that enable graduates to continue their education at a four-year institution. CMCC also offers a variety of student support services, activities, organizations and athletics.
