RUMFORD – A Mass of Christian Burial for Marie Bernard was celebrated Thursday at Parish of the Holy Savior. The Rev. Angelo LeVasseur was the celebrant. George Gionet was the altar server and Mark Belanger was the organist. Music selections were “You Raise Me Up,” “Lord of the Dance” and “Ave Maria” which was sung by her granddaughter, Erin Gurney, and “Wind Beneath My Wings” which was sung by her granddaughter, Kimberly Flynn. Readings were done by her granddaughters, Kaly Bernard and Michelle Bernard. The eulogy was given by her daughter-in-law, Andrea Bernard. Pallbearers were her grandsons, John W. Bernard, Jared Bernard, Shawn Bernard, Bill Bernard, Timothy Flynn and Michael Gurney. Spring interment will be in St. John Cemetery. A reception followed in the parish hall.
