MIDDLESEX, Vt. – The wedding of Gretchen Binkert Elias and Eric Stephen Bakeman was held March 1 in Middlesex, Vt. Kitsie Claxton, Universalist chaplain, officiated at the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Peter and Cindy Elias of Auburn. The bridegroom is the son of Paul and Anne Bakeman of Shelburne, Vt.

The couple is residing in Montpelier, Vt.

The bride is a 1992 graduate of Edward Little High School and a 1996 graduate of Middlebury College. She is also a 2003 graduate of the Harvard Kennedy School of Government. She is senior program officer at Institute for Sustainable Communities in Montpelier, Vt.

The bridegroom is a 1982 graduate of Champlain Valley Union High School in Hinesburg, Vt., and a 1986 graduate of Dartmouth College in Hanover, N.H. He is employed at Suss Microtec in Waterbury, Vt.
