PORTSMOUTH, N.H. (AP) – No one was hurt when a single-engine plane crash-landed just after takeoff from Portsmouth International Airport at the Pease tradeport.

Airport manager Bill Hopper says the plane was trying to return to South Carolina Saturday night when the pilot reported not getting power from the engines just after taking off. Because the landing gear was already up, the pilot brought the plane down its belly.

The Portsmouth Herald says there were four people on board in addition to the pilot. The runway was closed while authorities investigated the crash.
