LEWISTON – Leona (Dufour) Pelkey, 87, of Old Town, passed away on April 6, at St. Mary’s d’Youville Pavilion. She had been a resident of St. Mary’s d’Youville Pavilion since September 2008.

She was born in Fort Kent, on Oct. 16, 1921, a daughter of the late George and Alice (Babin) Dufour. She attended local Fort Kent schools. She was a homemaker and enjoyed knitting.

She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Eugene Pelkey of Peru, N.Y., and is now also a resident of St. Mary’s d’Youville Pavilion; sons, Roland Thibeault of Kentucky, Jean-Paul Thibeault of Litchfiled and Romeo Thibeault of Kissimmee, Fla.; daughters, Marie Thibeault of Caribou and Jeannette Bell of Florida; a brother, Albert Dufour of Orono; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
