AUBURN – Lucienne F. Giasson, 79, of Olive Street, died unexpectedly at her home on Sunday April 5.

She was born in Lewiston, on June 18, 1929, the daughter of William and Marie Louise (Langelier) Meservier. She attended local schools and received her GED after the death of her husband, Marcel Giasson, who died on Sept. 1, 1985. She was a homemaker raising her three children and later was a foster grandmother at Sherwood Heights School in Auburn for 10 years.

She enjoyed reading and gardening and her primary love was her family, especially her grandchildren, whom she adored dearly.

She is survived by her children, William Giasson of Lewiston, Jacqueline Fuller and her husband, David, of Gorham and Michel Giasson and his wife, Toby Haber Giasson, of Auburn; her grandchildren, Jessica Fields of Auburn, Derek Giasson of Lewiston, Scott Giasson of Auburn, Karin Craig of Lewiston, Renee Giasson of Auburn and Elise Giasson of Auburn and attending UMF; nine great-grandchildren; her sisters, Loretta Arseneault of Lewiston, Theresa Beaulieu of Auburn, Claudette Caron and Jeannine St. Pierre, both of Lewiston; and her brothers, Lionel Meservier and Armand Meservier, both of Lewiston.

She was predeceased by her infant daughter, Constance Giasson; and her sister, Rita Bazinet.
