The folk band Wake the Neighbors will play a lively mix of Celtic and French-Canadian jigs and reels for an evening of contradancing Friday, April 10, in Callahan Hall at the Lewiston Public Library. Members of the group are fiddler Jessie Gagne-Hall of Vermont, flutist Jim DiCarlo of New Hampshire and local musicians John Cote (guitarist), Anthony Shostak (banjo player and bagpiper) and Alfred Lund (percussionist). New Hampshire caller Jeff Petrovitch will oversee the action on the dance floor from 8 to 11 p.m. No experience is required to participate; instruction will be provided throughout the evening. Admission is $5, $2 for students. For more information, call LPL cultural coordinator Cindy Larock at 513-3050.
