ASHBURN, Va. (AP) – Veteran linebacker Robert Thomas has signed with the Washington Redskins.

Thomas has spent seven season in the NFL with the St. Louis Rams, Green Bay Packers and Oakland Raiders. He played only two games with the Raiders last year before a hamstring injury forced him onto injured reserve.

Terms of the agreement announced Wednesday were not disclosed.

The 29-year-old Thomas was a first-round draft pick by the Rams in 2002. He has started 50 of 84 career games, but has only 11 starts over the last three seasons.
