GORHAM (AP) – Maine’s lottery director says this week’s winning Tri-State Megabucks ticket, worth $2.9 million, was sold at a convenience store in Gorham.
Dan Gwadosky and employees of the 7-Eleven on Main Street told the Portland Press Herald on Thursday night that no one had come forward to claim the jackpot.
After taxes, the winner will receive either an annuity paying $82,000 a year for 25 years or an immediate payout of $1.4 million. The store owner, Ghulam Rabbani, gets an agent bonus of $29,500.
Maine’s last winning Megabucks ticket was sold nearly a year ago at McFadden’s Variety in Lubec. That individual won $9.85 million.
