GREENE – The Greene Dragons Snowmobile Club invites residents to enter its logo contest. The winning entrant will receive $100 cash.

The object of the contest is to create a logo for the snowmobile club to use to represent the club such as, but not limited to, the Web site, letterhead, apparel and advertising. The current logo was created in the 1970s and members feel it is time for an update.

The logo should include the club name somewhere in the design. A slogan or tagline would also be considered.

A portion of the club’s membership fees help to maintain the trails in Greene and a portion are sent to the Maine Snowmobile Association. Members volunteer their time to make new trails, cut brush, build bridges and drag and maintain the trails for the public to enjoy.

The trails are not only for snowmobilers, but also for cross country skiing and snowshoeing.

Entries may be mailed or e-mailed and must be received by June 1. Mail entries to Greene Dragons Snowmobile Club, PO Box 147, Greene, ME 04236. Entries may be e-mailed as an attachment to [email protected].

A confirmation e-mail will follow. Contestants are asked to put “logo contest” in the subject line. All entries must include name, address and phone number.

Entries must be an original design. They will become the property of the Greene Dragons Snowmobile Club. The contest is open to all ages, amateurs and professionals. For more information, contact Carol Buzzell at 946-7746.
