AUGUSTA – The wedding of Carissa Flagg and James O’Connor was held at 1 p.m. on Sept. 6 at St. Augustine Church in Augusta. The Rev. Ralph J. Boisvert officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. O’Connor is the daughter of Ted and Wanda Flagg of Carthage. Mr. O’Connor is the son of the late James O’Connor and Theresa and Michael Dow of Milford.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. Ashley Hamner, a friend, served as honor attendant. Bridesmaids were Megan Bradbury, cousin of the bride, and Kate Gaudet, Danielle Glover, Ashley Hodge, Jacqui Orio, Meghan Loubier and Kelly Davis, all friends of the bride. Flower girls were Kendahl Dow and Lakeisha and Jade Gilman, nieces of the bridegroom.

Michael Dow served as best man for his brother. Ushers were Ryan Nadeau and Casey Powers, friends of the bridegroom, Ryan Flagg, brother of the bride, Mickey Dow, stepbrother of the bridegroom, and Kevin Gallant, Ian Wilbur and Thomas Graffam, friends of the bridegroom. Cole Brown, cousin of the bride, was ring bearer.

A reception followed at the Elks Lodge in Augusta, after which the couple traveled to Jamaica. They are residing in Waterville.

The bride is a 2003 graduate of Dirigo High School and received a bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of Maine at Augusta. She is the in-store marketing manager at Sears in Augusta.

The bridegroom is a 2000 graduate of Old Town High School and is currently pursuing a degree in business finance at the University of Phoenix. He is employed at T-Mobile in Oakland.
