AUBURN – The wedding of Melissa Ann Labbe and Christopher Marc Mailhot was held at 3:30 p.m. on Aug. 9 at Sacred Heart Church in Auburn. The Rev. Frank Murray officiated at the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Michael and Karen Labbe of Auburn. The bridegroom is the son of Marc and Kathy Mailhot of Westbrook.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a strapless white gown with teal beaded bodice and long train with teal trim. She carried a bouquet of pink, white and orange Gerber daisies and white roses.
A sister of the bride, Amy Meaney, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Lianna Culleton, friend, and Jacklyn Holt, Rachel Trefsger, Anna Coffee, Darcy Thurston, Brooke Kelly and Vanessa Young, good friends of the bride. Junior bridesmaids were McKaela Meaney, niece, and Katherine Kazamarski, friend. Flower girls were Mackenzie Madisyn Mailhot, daughter of the couple, and Emma Reese Culleton, daughter of best friend.
Brian Ross, friend of the bridegroom, performed the duties of best man. Ushers were Jeremy Labbe, brother of the bride, and Kevin Normand, Greg Scaub, Steve Scaub, Jake Arsenault, Scott Gullatt and Patrick Liddy, friends of the bridegroom. Aidan Meaney, nephew of the bride, was ring bearer.
A reception followed at Lost Valley Ski Lodge in Auburn, after which the couple traveled to Cancun in Mexico. They are residing in Auburn.
The bride is a graduate of Edward Little High School and Eastern Connecticut State University with a bachelor’s degree in child psychology. She is employed at the CMMC Oncology Unit and at Poland Spring Golf Course.
The bridegroom is a graduate of Westbrook High School and the University of Maine at Orono with a master’s degree in business administration and a minor in American history. He is employed at UNUM in Portland.
