BANGOR (AP) – Former Bangor Mayor Richard Greene will be headed to jail in June.

Greene was sentenced Tuesday to 12 days in jail following two arrests last month for drunken driving and his conviction for passing a bad check in Veazie.

As part of his sentence, Greene was hit with a $1,400 fine and had his driver’s license revoked indefinitely.

Penobscot County District Attorney Chris Almy said Greene has been accepted into a program for second-time offenders. He will remain under strict bail conditions until he begins his jail sentence.
