TURNER – Karen Arlene Dolloff, 19, went to be with her Lord and Savior Monday, April 13.
She was born in Portland, on June 30, 1989, the daughter of Mark A. and Shelly K. Dolloff of Turner.
Karen was a miracle baby, born with hydrocephalus, who outlived her life expectancy by 19 years.
From the moment she was born, she shocked doctors with many miracles like walking and talking, even though she didn’t have the part of her brain that allowed her to do those things.
She spent her life as a walking witness of the miracles that Jesus can do and has finally gone home to be with Him to have a new, perfect body.
She enjoyed the simple pleasures in lifelike coloring, cutting lots of magazines into small pieces, and collecting boxes of cereal.
She will be greatly missed by everyone (doctors, school personnel, friends and family) who had the privilege of meeting her. She will be remembered for her smiles – even when she was in the most of pain; her whistles, her millions of hats, her hair-pulling – her way of saying hello and most of all the way her eyes lit up when she spent time with her God.
Karen is survived by her parents, Mark and Shelly of Turner; her sister, Kaylene of Turner; her brothers, Jim and his wife, Layla, of Topsham and Matthew and his wife, April, of Lisbon Falls; her grandmother, Abhi Hudson of Oregon; her niece, Sophia; her special friends, Monica and Leah; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was predeceased by her grandparents, Pauline and Paul Madore and Arthur Dolloff.
