MANCHESTER — A spokesman for Time Warner cable is reporting that a wide-spread grass fire in Manchester has burned utility poles, causing the loss of video services for approximately 27,000 customers, including customers in Lewiston, Sabattus and Wales.

According to Pete DeWitt, company spokesman, the cable operator is working with Central Maine Power and public safety officials to get to the site to repair the fiber burn and get video services restored as soon as possible.
