AUBURN – Nancy A. Snowman, certified nursing assistant, 58, of Peru, died Wednesday, April 15, at the Hospice House, with family by her side.

She was born in Rumford, on June 23, 1950, a daughter of Charles and Jane (Myles) Quimby Sr., and graduated from Mexico High School.

She was a member of LeParesseux Snowshoe Club, Rumford Falls Aerie 1248, FOE, and the Jay AMVETS. She loved knitting, making blankets and mittens, and cooking. She was called “Ma” by many of her children’s friends.

She had worked as a CNA at the Rumford Community Home for many years.

Survivors include daughter, Brandi Snowman of Peru; sons, Larry Snowman Jr. and companion, Bel, of Dixfield and John Snowman and companion, Daisy, of Norway; grandchildren, Justin, Chad, Camden, John Jr., Mersaydes, Jacob, Alex and Quentin; sisters, Sandee Welch and husband, Richard, of Rumford, Charlene Papsadora and husband, Bill, of Peru, Susan Parent and husband, Lionel, of Rumford, Ann Arsenault and husband, Michael, of Peru; a brother, Charles Quimby Jr. and companion, Dorothy, of Mexico.
