SOUTH PORTLAND – Rosa V. Jalbert, 101, formerly of 10 Oak Park, Lewiston, died peacefully on Thursday, April 16, at South Portland Nursing Home.

She was born in Lewiston, on Jan. 28, 1908, the daughter of Napoleon and Anna (Laliberte) Vaillancourt. She was employed for many years as a stitcher in the local textile industry until her retirement. She was a parishioner of Holy Cross Church.

She is survived by one daughter, Trudy Cote of Old Orchard Beach; two grandchildren, Jim and Chris Cote of Scarborough; one great-granddaughter, Caitlyn Cote; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Emile Jalbert; 18 sisters; and two brothers.
