GREEN VALLEY, Ariz. (AP) – A fire department official says four people were killed and 10 others seriously hurt when a van rolled over on an Arizona highway.

Green Valley Fire Department Capt. Melissa Smith says crews found the van early Saturday on Interstate 19 about 20 miles south of Tucson.

She says three people were dead at the scene and another died later at a hospital. Ten others were seriously injured and taken to a Tuscon hospital.

An Arizona Department of Public Safety statement says the victims are suspected of being illegal immigrants. The driver of the northbound minivan reportedly drifted into the highway median and lost control.

The highway was closed for several hours but has since reopened.
