VINALHAVEN – Rangeley scored eight runs in the fifth inning Saturday to finish off Vinalhaven and complete a weekend sweep in their season-opening series.

The outburst completed an 18-5 victory Saturday, which followed a 12-6 triumph Friday.

Pat Anthony led Rangeley Saturday with four hits, while Quinn Philbrick and Mike Bliss both had two doubles and a single. Craig Marshall also had a pair of hits for Rangeley.

Jordan Richard went the distance for the Lakers.

Philbrick and Bliss led Friday’s attack with the three hits apiece, while Anthony earned the victory on the mound.
