TURNER – A benefit bluegrass show, with all proceeds going to A Peanut Dog for Ethan, will be held Saturday, April 25, at Boofy Quimby Hall.

An effort is under way to raise money to get 4½-year-old Ethan Rines, who is deathly allergic to peanuts, a dog specially trained to sniff out peanuts. Besides the cost of the Angel Service dog from Monument, Colo., (about $10,000), there is the expense of traveling to Colorado and training with the dog for about two weeks.

Scheduled to perform are The Hemingway Brothers, Wilf Clark and Dotty Farrell of The Misty Mountaineers, The Nitpickers, and Diamonds and Rust featuring Ethan Rines.

Doors will open at 6 p.m., with the show to begin at 7 o’clock. Admission is by donation only. There will be a 50/50 raffle and a bake sale, including chili, baked beans, cookies, brownies, truffles and more.
