HEBRON – Maine State Police are continuing to investigate the death of a 43-year-old man outside his home early Saturday.
The state Medical Examiner’s Office said Tuesday it was withholding the cause of Gene Reynolds’ death at the request of the Maine Attorney General’s Office.
Stephen McCausland, spokesman for the Maine Department of Public Safety, said additional investigative work is needed before the Medical Examiner’s Office concludes its findings.
“There are no new developments in the case, and the case remains under investigation,” McCausland said.
State Police, as well as the Oxford County Sheriff’s Office and Paris Police Department, responded to 15 Birch Way after receiving a 911 call. Around 1 a.m., Reynolds’ live-in girlfriend, 42-year-old Diane Tracy, reported a domestic dispute at the home. Police found Reynolds dead outside.
